Innsbruck, Austria July 4-5, 2019
We took the train again from from Salzburg to Innsbruck onThursday July 4 for a one-night stay in Innsbruck. I had a Homer Simpson moment standing on the bridge over the Inn River: Inn + bridge (bruck in German)=Innsbruck. Doh! Apparently, there's been a human settlement here since pre-Roman days because it was a good place for a bridge. This was our second visit to Innsbruck and it really is a charming place. We found a good Italian pizzeria for dinner and spent a nice afternoon walking around the city doing some last minute shopping. On Friday, Charlotte took the train down to Vipetino, Italy for her music festival,
and Dave took the train to Munich to catch a flight home.
