Bangalore, India
October 12-18, 2008 My job took me to Bangalore, India for a week. Texas Instruments has been in Bangalore for at least 20 years. I stayed at a very nice hotel called the Ista Hotel. At the left is a sitting area in one of the lounges.

On this page are just some pictures I took around Bangalore and on Saturday. I had Sunday October 12 to recover from the back-to-back 9 hours flights from Dallas, and I took Saturday to look around a little before coming home. Here are links to pages I created for those "free" days:

Mass at St. Patrick's, Sunday October 12

Bannerghatta National Park, Saturday October 18
These pictures on the left and right are from the streets of Bangalore. The little yellow "autos" are three wheeled taxis witha two-stroke engine. These guys are just fearless, along with the motor cycles, scooters, pedestrians and cows on these streets.
This sign really caught my eye because of all the stray dogs in the streets of Bangalore. I'm not sure how one extends a helping hand to control rabies, but I wasn't in a hurry to find out.

"MG" Road stands for "Mahatma Ghandi" Road, just in case you were wondering.
These last 5 pictures were taken Saturday morning when my colleague from the local TI office, Gautam (pictured at the right) drove me to the national park which was south of Bangalore.
