Roamin' Catletts
in Rome
May 2017
I made a solo visit to Rome in May to complete my coursework for a Master of Theological Studies degree from the University of Dallas. It was 10 alternating days of intense classroom work and days poking around Rome with history and theology professors.
Here are just a couple of shots of me at various landmarks. We attended the Pope Francis's Sunday Angelus (message followed by the Angelus prayer) twice, which was a real treat. Mass in St. Peter's was pretty cool too.

At left-below is me with Dr. Dan Luby and Father Bonaventure. We had lunch in Piazza Martin Lutero which I thought was a cool ecumenical detail to stumble across.
A highlight of the trip was the morning I spent at the Vatican Observatory in Castel Gondalfo with the director, Brother Guy Consolmagno: talking about science and faith, and sipping cappuccino.
