Reflections from the chili cook on New Year's Eve 2018...

Link to 2017 reflection
2018 has been a year of change, of renewed friendships, of milestones achieved, of retirement from one path and the beginning another. As I did at the end of last year, I spent some time looking at my iPhoto library for 2018 and reflected on the events and people that shaped me this year. I looked at my photo database through the lens of gratitude and praise to God for another orbit around the sun (my sixtieth!). Psalm 8 says: When I see the heavens, the work of your hands, the moon and the stars which you arranged, what is man that you should keep him in mind, mortal man that you care for him? With this perspective of thanks in mind, I arranged this collage of 2018 pictures (sorry, no captions or tags). I was again amazed at how it made me feel about the past year: gentle reminders that God's love touches us through contact with other human beings. Thank you all and I wish you a blessed 2019.
