Prague, Czech Republic

After work was finished in Germany, we decided to go somewhere we'd never been. Prague is a 6-hour train ride from Munich and well worth the effort to get there.
The Astronomical Clock is one of the cool attractions in the city, dating from 1410, in Old Town Square.

Click on the clock picture or this LINK to see the 12 Apostles stroll through the upper window.

Our first day in Prague was rainy most of the day, but our second day was sunny. Our hotel was in Old Town, near the Charles Street Bridge (top pictures). The picture below right is of the 14th Century spires of the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn where the astronomer Tyco Brahe is interred.

Czechs like their food and beer. We did too. The picture above on the right is Dave with the sacristan of the Church of St.Thomas (also an Augustinian monastery). On our visit he invited us for a monk-brewed beer back in the sacristy.
